Julian Murillo started the match with the kick off. Milagros Fraga struck a weak shot in the 3rd minute. Raphael Dantas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Peru. Simo Mihklisaars short, quick shot in the 15thth minute got Rolando Noboa to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The audience was convinced that Julian Murillo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Raphael Dantas was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. In the 21st minute, Eliseo Mina hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 27 minutes into the match, Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Raphael Dantas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Simo Mihklisaar succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-1 in the 29th playminute. In the 35th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raphael Dantas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 45 minutes into the match, Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s goal looked a bit too open when Milagros Fraga came free, but Raphael Dantas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Peru were awarded a corner in the 47th minute after Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Luz Tejedor took the corner. The corner ended in Luz Tejedor almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s Raphael Dantas did a great save. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 68th minute, Peru's Efraim Gilabert seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Efraim Gilabert the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Peru protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Efraim Gilabert had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 68th minute, one of Peru:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Peru. Dobromir Malewicki shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zbigniew Zatorski in the 76th minute of the match. After 82 played minutes Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ- got a freekick which was hit by Dobromir Malewicki. Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. Dobromir Malewicki hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Sílvio Luiz Vieira made in the 89th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Peru's Alonso Berganza. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zbigniew Zatorski in the 94th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew the final whistle, Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ- could leave the field as winners, despite Peru having more of the ball for most of the match.
