With a little luck, Costa Rica's Benito Sanz got control of the ball when Matthew Brookman tried to sneak it across the goal line. Peter Crouch fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. Benito Sanz didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Egg Chasers FC's Peter Crouch shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-0 in the ordered_time% minute. Peter Crouch received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Benito Sanz came out and tried to block the shot, but Peter Crouch slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 15th minute. After 18 played minutes Egg Chasers FC got a freekick which was hit by Peter Crouch. If Peter Crouch had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benito Sanz stood somewhat misplaced when Damian Stonehouse came free in front of goal and shot 3-0 to the left of him in the 25 minute. If Matthew Brookman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matthew Brookman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Benito Sanz came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by Egg Chasers FC's Damian Stonehouse. But to his dismay, Damian Stonehouse quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. With an all-out effort, Egg Chasers FC's Benito Sanz threw himself towards the right post 42 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Damian Stonehouse, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Matthew Brookman in the 44thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Benito Sanz, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Peter Crouch in the 51st minute of play. Fabien Barthez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Axel Tasis in the 52nd minute of play. Peter Crouch scored 5-0 in the 55th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 58 minutes, Matthew Brookman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Egg Chasers FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Matthew Brookman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Peter Crouch, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Egg Chasers FC's Peter Crouch got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 66 minutes into the match, Peter Crouch notched a goal, 6-0, to the right of Costa Rica's Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 73rd minute of the match Rex Wall shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Benito Sanz showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Lautaro Puig got a free kick in the 76th minute. Axel Tasis might have been able to make a better finish in the 79th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fabien Barthez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Axel Tasis ran back to his position shaking his head. Jonny Wilkinson kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. The supporters of Egg Chasers FC booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alan Moruga didn't get a good kick on the ball. 84 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Damian Stonehouse came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aaron Alcocer struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Fabien Barthez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Costa Rica. 90 minutes into the match, Peter Crouch notched a goal, 7-0, to the right of Costa Rica's Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Benito Sanz came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by Egg Chasers FC's Matthew Brookman. But to his dismay, Matthew Brookman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-0.
