The referee showed Hugo Fransson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jonathan Venegas kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Tomas Illescas might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Filiph Walroth. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomas Illescas ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Lokomotiv Sick-Sack was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Folke Trillkott didn't get a good kick on the ball. 27 minutes into the match, Lokomotiv Sick-Sack's goal looked a bit too open when Patricio Costa came free, but Filiph Walroth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Filiph Walroth took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joshua Secada, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
