The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 25 minutes into the match, Boca Juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Lautaro Mancebo came free, but Primitivo Fernanco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Primitivo Fernanco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 29th minute of play. Primitivo Fernanco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 31st minute of the match. With a little luck, Mexico's Dante Lacasa got control of the ball when Ladislao Bertran tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dante Lacasa was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Adolfo Cresenciano showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 41 minute of play. Facundo Cadaval struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Primitivo Fernanco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mexico. Luca Zorita kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joel Gaona to make the kick off. Boca Juniors's Epifanio Medardo was substituted for Samuel Emesto. 潘宽风 hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. 70 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Maximo Bordat came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 73 minutes into the match, Boca Juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Facundo Cadaval came free, but Primitivo Fernanco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Mexico booed when Boca Juniors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfredo Paraíba didn't get a good kick on the ball. Boca Juniors's Primitivo Fernanco proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Boca Juniors from getting a goal against them. Mexico were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
