With a couple of smart ball manuevers Delmiro Ferrer in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Delmiro Ferrer in the 12th minute of the match. Barbudos FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gareth Bala in the 14th minute. After 22 minutes Venezuela's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gareth Bala who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Gareth Bala got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jonathan Ferrant quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 26 minutes had been played when some careless play by Venezuela's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gareth Bala was slow to take the kick. During this time Barbudos FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Gareth Bala almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant did a great save. Gareth Bala's long shot made the audience stand up and applaude when it rumbled by Jonathan Ferrant on his right side and into the goal. 26 minutes into the game it was 0-1. Tomas Illescas might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Omar Abadia. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomas Illescas ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 35 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Delmiro Ferrer came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 38 minutes, Delmiro Ferrer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Barbudos FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Delmiro Ferrer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Barbudos FC booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Chicote didn't get a good kick on the ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Gareth Bala might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonathan Ferrant. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gareth Bala ran back to his position shaking his head. Delmiro Ferrer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Delmiro Ferrer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Barbudos FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Delmiro Ferrer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match had gone on for 60 minutes, Delmiro Ferrer took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Jonathan Ferrant to make any attempt to save it. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Delmiro Ferrer went, in the 63rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Barbudos FC's Franco Beccari was substituted for Delmiro Ferrer. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 69th minute of the game. One of Venezuela:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Barbudos FC:s goal. Franco Beccari struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Barbudos FC. Alex Chicote was shown his second yellow card after 80 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Franco Beccari fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. When Joshua Secada fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Joshua Secada a yellow card for diving instead. Joshua Secada kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Franco Beccari blasted a shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jonathan Ferrant having to make a save. In the 92nd minute Franco Beccari shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Barbudos FC's Omar Abadia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jose Correa in the 93rd minute of play. Tomas Illescas hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match.
