A collision led to Altermundi FC getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Jude Hylton hit a great ball. After 10 played minutes Altermundi FC got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Reyes. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gerónimo Molina in the 13th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gerónimo Molina in the 25th minute of the match. Candido Piedra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 28th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gerónimo Molina in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rolando Noboa saved Peru from getting behind. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Visen Allu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Milagros Fraga came free with the goalkeeper in the 39th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Candido Piedra could save by the left post. Eliseo Mina sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 43 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Visen Allu came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Julian Murillo made a kick off. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gerónimo Molina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 57 played minutes Altermundi FC got a freekick which was hit by Jude Hylton. In the 59th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Candido Piedra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Altermundi FC's Recai Taykurt got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Candido Piedra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Candido Piedra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Peru's Eliseo Mina managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Disvandis Larraona in the 74 minute of the game. 74 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Candido Piedra narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Altermundi FC's Candido Piedra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliseo Mina in the 77th minute of play. Candido Piedra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 82nd minute of play. Anthony Alvarado kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso. The supporters of Altermundi FC booed when Peru was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anthony Alvarado didn't get a good kick on the ball. Candido Piedra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafael Gallo in the 92nd minute of play. In the 95th minute Rafael Gallo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Candido Piedra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Peru fans cheered their team off the field, for while Altermundi FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
