Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gündüz Dirican in the 28th minute of play. Cumhur Ulutan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Çelebi Yüksel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. Doğan Özsen kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Baransel Ortan might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Julio Vera. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Baransel Ortan ran back to his position shaking his head. 46 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of TRABZONSPOR's Cumhur Ulutan. Cumhur Ulutan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gündüz Dirican to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind TRABZONSPOR's goalkeeper Cumhur Ulutan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Julio Vera came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by TRABZONSPOR's Çelebi Yüksel. But to his dismay, Çelebi Yüksel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. With a little luck, TRABZONSPOR's Cumhur Ulutan got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 67 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cumhur Ulutan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 70 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cumhur Ulutan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cristian Sancho made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that TRABZONSPOR's Cumhur Ulutan managed to reach the ball for a save. A hard shot 74 in the game by Daniel Zorita from a close distance when the talented Cumhur Ulutan managed to make a qualified save. TRABZONSPOR's players were relieved. After 75 minutes TRABZONSPOR's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Juan Sebastián Puig heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Cristian Sancho in the 78thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Cumhur Ulutan, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 79 minutes TRABZONSPOR's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. Agustín Saelices was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Cristian Sancho took the ball and in the 81 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cumhur Ulutan. Cumhur Ulutan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. Cumhur Ulutan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. After 90 played minutes TRABZONSPOR got a freekick which was hit by Çelebi Yüksel. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind TRABZONSPOR's goalkeeper Cumhur Ulutan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Naim Fazilet hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Cumhur Ulutan made a huge save. After 94 played minutes TRABZONSPOR got a freekick which was hit by Gündüz Dirican. With a little luck, TRABZONSPOR's Cumhur Ulutan got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 96 minutes TRABZONSPOR's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Cristian Sancho got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Cumhur Ulutan quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than TRABZONSPOR throughout the match.
