Thiago Pliego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aurel Pandrea in the 28th minute of the match. With a little luck, Steaua Bucuresti's Radu Isaicu got control of the ball when Orlando Casaus tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 94th minute, Mariano Lacasa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Radu Isaicu was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-7. When the match was over Chile could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Steaua Bucuresti throughout the match.
