Cristian Sancho kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. In the 73rd minute, Sidónio Silva got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. SPORT LISBOA E BENFICA made a substitution. Durval Ruas replaced Juliano Pinhal. In the 77th minute, Felix Montenegro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Konrad Tøndergaard tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 81 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Oswaldo Salmanton came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristian Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Konrad Tøndergaard made a huge save. SPORT LISBOA E BENFICA's Konrad Tøndergaard proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save SPORT LISBOA E BENFICA from getting a goal against them. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than SPORT LISBOA E BENFICA.
