Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) TOKATSPOR's Ömer Urhan started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Boleslaw Raschke, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. Adnan Yildıran made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Aaron Alcocer sent off a good shot on target. 13 minutes into the game, TOKATSPOR's Norbert Winograd nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benito Sanz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Benito Sanz came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by TOKATSPOR's Ömer Urhan. But to his dismay, Ömer Urhan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Abel Carballo hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Benito Sanz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Norbert Winograd's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dimas Aspurua, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Boleslaw Raschke in the 25th minute of the match. Aaron Alcocer charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. After the first half TOKATSPOR were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the match clock showed 59 minutes, the score became 0-5 when Ömer Urhan sped through Costa Rica's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. Norbert Winograd scored 0-6 in the 63rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ömer Urhan, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. 73 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Boleslaw Raschke came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 75 minutes into the match, TOKATSPOR's Norbert Winograd sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Benito Sanz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Norbert Winograd took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-7. TOKATSPOR made a substitution. Aygün Hikmettin replaced Norbert Winograd. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ömer Urhan in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benito Sanz saved Costa Rica from getting behind. In the 88th minute TOKATSPOR were awarded a corner. Khair ad-Din Barbarossa went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led TOKATSPOR's Khair ad-Din Barbarossa to fire away a dangerous shot which Benito Sanz despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Ömer Urhan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice moves Aygün Hikmettin could shoot a difficult shot in the 93rd minute, which Benito Sanz however easily saved by the left post. In the 94th minute TOKATSPOR were awarded a corner. Khair ad-Din Barbarossa went to the cornerflag to take it. It was a well-played corner which Boleslaw Raschke managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. After some careless play in the Costa Rica defense, Aygün Hikmettin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. The Costa Rica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Sanz should have stopped the shot.
