Spectators: 47 (Terracing: 36, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) De Keikoppers's Sem De Kelper started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 2 minutes into the match, Lautaro Mancebo notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of De Keikoppers's Lionel Van Den Broek. Lionel Van Den Broek was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Wout Leroy kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Lionel Van Den Broek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Sem De Kelper's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dante Lacasa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. After 13 minutes Mexico's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Rolf Huveneers who took care of the corner kick. Lionel Van Den Broek made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 18th minute. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sem De Kelper in the 19th minute of play. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sem De Kelper, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rolf Huveneers scored 1-1 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dante Lacasa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Lautaro Mancebo hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. A collision led to De Keikoppers getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Geert Smidts hit a great ball. Lautaro Mancebo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Glenn De Smedt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lionel Van Den Broek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 41st minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Joel Gaona managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Joel Gaona was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lionel Van Den Broek breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joel Gaona stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Alberto Tafalla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dante Lacasa made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Sem De Kelper sent off a good shot on target. De Keikoppers's Lionel Van Den Broek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 54th minute of play. Joel Gaona recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 57th minute of play forced De Keikoppers's goalkeeper Lionel Van Den Broek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joachim Van Der Meren in the 59th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lionel Van Den Broek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Geert Smidts sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lautaro Mancebo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lionel Van Den Broek having to make a save. In the 74th match minute, De Keikoppers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Natan Vermeesch to maneuver through the defense. 74 minutes into the game, Geert Smidts was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. De Keikoppers's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mexico the free kick. Alberto Tafalla's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lionel Van Den Broek read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in De Keikoppers's zone, Joel Gaona stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lionel Van Den Broek came out of the goal and Joel Gaona tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lautaro Mancebo might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lionel Van Den Broek. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lautaro Mancebo ran back to his position shaking his head. After some careless play in the De Keikoppers defense, Luca Zorita kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lionel Van Den Broek. The De Keikoppers fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lionel Van Den Broek should have stopped the shot. In the 91st minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lionel Van Den Broek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mexico's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
