Lionel Van Den Broek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. In the 13th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Lionel Van Den Broek quite easily take care of the ball. Lionel Van Den Broek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. The referee felt a red card was in order, 17 minutes into the game, when Felix Montes put in a rough tackle. In a very dangerous position, a player in Ecuador fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 17th minute. Penalty! Rolf Huveneers did an outstanding performance 20 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 1-0 to the right of an irritated Julio Vera in the goal. De Keikoppers's Lionel Van Den Broek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Montenegro in the 26th minute of play. After 28 minutes De Keikoppers's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 29th minute of play forced De Keikoppers's goalkeeper Lionel Van Den Broek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 31st minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. De Keikoppers's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lionel Van Den Broek read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Agustín Saelices during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Agustín Saelices hit a great ball. De Keikoppers's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Rolf Huveneers in the 37th minute. Thanks to some nice moves Geert Smidts could shoot a difficult shot in the 37th minute, which Julio Vera however easily saved by the left post. After having played for 38 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Luis Andino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Luis Andino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lionel Van Den Broek breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rolf Huveneers in the 43rd minute of the match. Sem De Kelper's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 45thth minute, Julio Vera skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Cristian Sancho made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Luis Andino hit a great ball. Sem De Kelper recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, De Keikoppers's Lionel Van Den Broek got control of the ball when Felix Montenegro tried to sneak it across the goal line. 72 minutes into the match, De Keikoppers's goal looked a bit too open when Agustín Saelices came free, but Lionel Van Den Broek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 74th minute of the game. One of Ecuador:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of De Keikoppers:s goal. In the 75th minute there was a penalty for De Keikoppers. Rolf Huveneers stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Julio Vera. 3-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sem De Kelper in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. Julio Vera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sem De Kelper went, in the 79th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sem De Kelper in the 82nd minute of the match. In the 89th minute Rolf Huveneers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, De Keikoppers's Lionel Van Den Broek got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. 95 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lionel Van Den Broek. De Keikoppers's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristian Sancho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. For all the effort they put into the match, the Ecuador players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for De Keikoppers.
