Academia Monte Gordo's Mao Zhen Hong proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save Academia Monte Gordo from getting a goal against them. Mariano Lacasa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mao Zhen Hong read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Mariano Lacasa kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Mao Zhen Hong. That made the score 1-0 in the 12 minute of play. Adérito Abreu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thiago Pliego having to interfere. Mariano Lacasa might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mao Zhen Hong. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mariano Lacasa ran back to his position shaking his head. 19 minutes into the match, Fryderyk Grucza had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Thiago Pliego. Chile's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fryderyk Grucza was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. The audience was convinced that Fryderyk Grucza's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Thiago Pliego was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. Academia Monte Gordo's Adérito Abreu was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Thiago Pliego in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Thiago Pliego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fryderyk Grucza in the 26th minute of the match. After 34 minutes of play, Chile's Mariano Lacasa made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mao Zhen Hong was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 40thth minute of the game Fryderyk Grucza who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chile's Thiago Pliego was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Mariano Lacasa in the 41stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Mao Zhen Hong, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 46th minute Academia Monte Gordo were awarded a corner. Adérito Abreu went to the cornerflag to take it. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fryderyk Grucza to make the kick off. Fryderyk Grucza who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 53rdth minute tested the skills of Thiago Pliego when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Adérito Abreu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mariano Lacasa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 66th minute, Alan Tamayo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thiago Pliego made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fabrício Lustosa in the 72nd minute. Chile's Thiago Pliego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adélio Infante in the 77th minute of play. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Academia Monte Gordo's goalkeeper Mao Zhen Hong, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Chile getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Alan Tamayo hit a great ball. Luciano Tiso hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. 89 minutes into the game, Adélio Infante was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Academia Monte Gordo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Chile the free kick. After a rather tough play, Academia Monte Gordo's Adélio Infante got a free kick in the 89th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Orlando Casaus in the 90th minute of play forced Academia Monte Gordo's goalkeeper Mao Zhen Hong to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Chile were awarded a corner in the 92th minute after Academia Monte Gordo's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Mariano Lacasa took the corner. The corner ended in Xavier Figueroa almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Academia Monte Gordo's Mao Zhen Hong did a great save. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
