The referee ignored FC Hellcats's protests and gave Jan Spěvák a yellow card for diving instead. In the 5th minute, Jan Spěvák hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 8th minute Alberto Gisbert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Konstantin Pavelec saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Uruguay's Alberto Gisbert got a free kick in the 8th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 10 minutes, Joaquin Gayoso successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After having played for 12 minutes, Francisco Seco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Uruguay's supporters crossed their fingers, but Francisco Seco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Temelko Gopov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, Uruguay's Alberto Gisbert got a free kick in the 18th minute. Francisco Seco struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Konstantin Pavelec didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Uruguay. Konstantin Pavelec showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francisco Seco, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. In the 23rd match minute, Uruguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maximiliano Escribano to maneuver through the defense. Jaime Cazalla struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Konstantin Pavelec didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Uruguay. 31 minutes into the match, Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sebastian Ionășescu. Mateo Edwardo might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Joaquin Gayoso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mateo Edwardo ran back to his position shaking his head. 36 minutes into the game, Francisco Seco cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Konstantin Pavelec was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Joaquin Gayoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Temelko Gopov in the 41st minute of the match. Joaquin Gayoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Svatomír Oborný, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. 44 minutes into the game, Uruguay's Francisco Seco nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Konstantin Pavelec made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Svatomír Oborný was the one to do the kick off. Svatomír Oborný took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joaquin Gayoso. Joaquin Gayoso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. In the 59th minute, Camilo Franco made a precise shot to the right of Konstantin Pavelec. FC Hellcats's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. 62 minutes into the match, Temelko Gopov had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. Uruguay's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Temelko Gopov was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. FC Hellcats's Konstantin Pavelec proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save FC Hellcats from getting a goal against them. After having played for 73 minutes, Sebastian Ionășescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Hellcats's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sebastian Ionășescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Joaquin Gayoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Svatomír Oborný in the 77th minute of play. With a little luck, FC Hellcats's Konstantin Pavelec got control of the ball when Francisco Seco tried to sneak it across the goal line. Joaquin Gayoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Temelko Gopov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Konstantin Pavelec made an important save on a dangerous shot by Francisco Seco in the 82nd minute. After a rather tough play, Uruguay's Kevin Carballal got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Uruguay's Alberto Gisbert quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Jiří Hlavica, made in the 94th minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Francisco Seco got free with Konstantin Pavelec in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
