A collision led to Knights Templar getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Rungrueng Rau hit a great ball. 9 minutes into the game, Cristian Sancho cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Bozhin Palakarchev was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Zlatko Stumbov tried to sneak it across the goal line. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Damyan Labov got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 1-1. 17 minutes into the match. 24 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bozhin Palakarchev made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Agustín Saelices recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cristian Sancho scored 1-3 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bozhin Palakarchev, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Knights Templar's Vladislav Haydushki got a free kick in the 36th minute. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Knights Templar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albert Merodiyski didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 41st minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sava Dodov could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. After some careless play in the Knights Templar defense, Daniel Zorita kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bozhin Palakarchev. The Knights Templar fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bozhin Palakarchev should have stopped the shot. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-4.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zlatko Stumbov stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Daniel Zorita reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Bozhin Palakarchev. The goal made the score 1-5. In the 60th minute Zlatko Stumbov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Bozhin Palakarchev in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Luis Andino took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bozhin Palakarchev. Bozhin Palakarchev dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-6. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rungrueng Rau in the 74th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Felix Montenegro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Felix Montenegro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bozhin Palakarchev breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 80 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bozhin Palakarchev made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-7. Knights Templar's Bozhin Palakarchev proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Knights Templar from getting a goal against them. Daniel Zorita's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Bozhin Palakarchev firmly grabbed it by the left post. Roch Fedosz hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Damyan Labov kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Bozhin Palakarchev didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristian Sancho went, in the 91st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-8 was the resulting score. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Bozhin Palakarchev didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador.
