Panama's defense didn't have a chance, in the 6th minute, when Stanoy Krústenov scored to the left of an out of position Marcos Cotilla, making the score, 1-0. Bobi Vúrlyakov's late challenge caught a Panama's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bobi Vúrlyakov helped the player get up and apologised. In the 10th match minute, CARDANO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bobi Vúrlyakov to maneuver through the defense. In the 12th match minute, CARDANO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Plamen Seizov to maneuver through the defense. 13 minutes into the match, Panama's Isidoro Sarmiento sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Stancho Zvezdanov narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the match clock showed 15 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Kristiyan Vlahovski sped through Panama's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Marcos Cotilla. The supporters of Panama booed when CARDANO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gercho Súrbinski didn't get a good kick on the ball. CARDANO's Stancho Zvezdanov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alex Cambeiro in the 24th minute of play. Stancho Zvezdanov didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Isidoro Sarmiento went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. 30 minutes into the match, Panama's goal looked a bit too open when Stanoy Krústenov came free, but Marcos Cotilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 32nd minute CARDANO were awarded a corner. Slavyan Dudumov went to the cornerflag to take it. Slavyan Dudumov made a great header on CARDANO's corner, it was just that Panama's Marcos Cotilla managed to reach the ball for a save. After having played for 35 minutes, Stanoy Krústenov managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CARDANO's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stanoy Krústenov was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 37 minutes of play CARDANO's Bobi Vúrlyakov was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of Panama booed when CARDANO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bobi Vúrlyakov didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Tomas Berganza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to CARDANO getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Plamen Seizov hit a great ball. Stancho Zvezdanov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abraham Alguacil in the 47th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Stanoy Krústenov was the one to do the kick off. After 51 played minutes CARDANO got a freekick which was hit by Plamen Seizov. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kristiyan Vlahovski in the 58th minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomas Berganza got free with Stancho Zvezdanov in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 62nd minute Rosen Michkov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 65th minute, Stanoy Krústenov ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcos Cotilla was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. After 78 minutes, Stanoy Krústenov mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the CARDANO and the Panama players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Panama booed when CARDANO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stanoy Krústenov didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tomas Berganza's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Stancho Zvezdanov read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. Marcos Cotilla stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rosen Michkov's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. In the 89th minute, Kristiyan Vlahovski left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The CARDANO fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. Marcos Cotilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rosen Michkov, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Abraham Alguacil blasted a shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Stancho Zvezdanov having to make a save. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. CARDANO were victorious despite being under pressure from Panama for much of the match.
