Elder Cardoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 3rd minute of the match. Cristian Sancho took the ball and in the 10 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Elder Cardoso. Elder Cardoso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 12thth minute of the game Edvaldo Zonta who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A throw-in in the 16th minute of the game was made by Primitivo Andino with Daniel Zorita as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. 17 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Elder Cardoso. SUPERSTAR - DMZ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daniel Zorita was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. When Igor Reis fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SUPERSTAR - DMZ's protests and gave Igor Reis a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Ecuador booed when SUPERSTAR - DMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Igor Reis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Elder Cardoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Andino, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. 26 minutes had been played when some careless play by SUPERSTAR - DMZ's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Daniel Zorita almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but SUPERSTAR - DMZ's Elder Cardoso did a great save. In the 28th minute Felix Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elder Cardoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 29th minute after SUPERSTAR - DMZ's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Daniel Zorita got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Elder Cardoso quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 31st minute, Cristian Sancho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Elder Cardoso was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Elder Cardoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felix Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. 37 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Romeu de Godoi came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 40th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elder Cardoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alex Toledo kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Edvaldo Zonta made a kick off. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 50th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edvaldo Zonta in the 54th minute of play. In the 65th minute, Alex Toledo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 67th minute, SUPERSTAR - DMZ's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Cristian Sancho fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 68 minutes in the game Primitivo Andino did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Felix Montenegro. In the 70th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elder Cardoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of SUPERSTAR - DMZ booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Primitivo Andino didn't get a good kick on the ball. 71 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Romeu de Godoi came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After taking down the ball on SUPERSTAR - DMZ's corner Alex Toledo fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Julio Vera quite easily take care of the ball. With a little luck, SUPERSTAR - DMZ's Elder Cardoso got control of the ball when Luis Andino tried to sneak it across the goal line. 81 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Elder Cardoso was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 85 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita notched a goal, 0-6, to the right of SUPERSTAR - DMZ's Elder Cardoso. Elder Cardoso was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
