Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Kauã Tróia took the kick off in the first half of the match. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 8 played minutes Joinville S.German-FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by Stacey Crowe. 9 minutes into the match, Joinville S.German-FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Olavo Linares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniel Zorita in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Olavo Linares prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Daniel Zorita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Olavo Linares read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. Sandro Aguiar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. In the 24th minute, Caco Lago hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 26 minutes into the game, Juan Sebastián Puig was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ecuador's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Joinville S.German-FSCMZ the free kick. In the 26th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan Sebastián Puig to maneuver through the defense. Daniel Zorita took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Olavo Linares. Olavo Linares dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Joinville S.German-FSCMZ's Olavo Linares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 37th minute of play. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Olavo Linares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 44th minute, Caco Lago hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Zorita to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olavo Linares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Joinville S.German-FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonathan Machado didn't get a good kick on the ball. 64 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Olavo Linares. Joinville S.German-FSCMZ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daniel Zorita was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Felix Montes hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. In the 67th minute of the match Sandro Aguiar shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Julio Vera showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 71st minute Jonathan Machado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Felix Montes got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Sandro Aguiar struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Joinville S.German-FSCMZ. In the 81st minute, Sandro Aguiar left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Joinville S.German-FSCMZ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sandro Aguiar in the 85th minute of play. 94 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Kauã Tróia came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
