Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Ecuador's Daniel Zorita started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Sancho got free with Emilian Martinez in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Don Malbec booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antonio Arias didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 7 minutes, Felix Nahia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Don Malbec's supporters crossed their fingers, but Felix Nahia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Emilian Martinez made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. After 10 minutes Don Malbec's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. The corner led to Ecuador's Juan Sebastián Puig getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Emilian Martinez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 19th minute. After a rather tough play, Don Malbec's Elmas Veloz got a free kick in the 22nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Camilo Sexto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Camilo Sexto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 25 minutes into the game, Agustín Saelices cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Emilian Martinez was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Don Malbec fans' excitement grew in the 28th match minute when Don Malbec's Camilo Sexto looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emilian Martinez having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Ted Lasso managed to get in a good position for a shot. Don Malbec's supporters rose to their feet, but Ted Lasso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cristian Sancho struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Emilian Martinez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Emilian Martinez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 64 minutes of play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Emilian Martinez was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. After 69 minutes, Daniel Zorita mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ecuador and the Don Malbec players grew even worse after the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felix Montenegro in the 71st minute of play forced Don Malbec's goalkeeper Emilian Martinez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 73 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Emilian Martinez. Don Malbec's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daniel Zorita was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. After a rather tough play, Don Malbec's Celedonio Aurken got a free kick in the 77th minute. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Cristian Sancho hit a great ball. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Ted Lasso tried to sneak it across the goal line. Emilian Martinez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agustín Saelices in the 84th minute of play. After 85 minutes Don Malbec's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Ted Lasso managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Camilo Sexto in the 92nd minute of play.
