Mariano Lacasa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joonatan De Vlaeminck read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. Joonatan De Vlaeminck took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mariano Lacasa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joonatan De Vlaeminck showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. In the 26th minute Chile were awarded a corner. Mariano Lacasa went to the cornerflag to take it. Léo Zanette kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. The Sleepy Soldiers FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Chile were winning 1-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Andres Oper to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 60th minute of the match, Mariano Lacasa tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Joonatan De Vlaeminck saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 93rd minute Octavio Ordono shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Pliego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sleepy Soldiers FC's Joonatan De Vlaeminck proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Sleepy Soldiers FC from getting a goal against them.
