In the 17th minute Leandro Leme shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Venezuela's Tomas Illescas in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Koffe Boys's goalie prevented a goal. Tomas Illescas might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kalle Backman. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomas Illescas ran back to his position shaking his head. Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kalle Backman having to interfere. If Marciano Nevada had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Zuriko Roiz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Zuriko Roiz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Koffe Boys getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Zuriko Roiz hit a great ball. Kalle Backman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Illescas in the 56th minute. In the 57th minute, Tomas Illescas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With his leg Kalle Backman managed to avoid a goal in the 59thth minute, when Venezuela's Tomas Illescas fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Illescas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kalle Backman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Koffe Boys's João Augusto Toledo got a free kick in the 64th minute. 66 minutes into the game, Jonathan Venegas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rene Javiero in the 84th minute of the match. João Augusto Toledo kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. With a little luck, Koffe Boys's Kalle Backman got control of the ball when Tomas Illescas tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 94 minutes, Salvador Gisbert mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Venezuela and the Koffe Boys players grew even worse after the yellow card. Patricio Costa charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Patricio Costa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Venezuela's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
