Achille Palone scored 0-9 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 65th minute, Abel Carballo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 67th minute, Grugliasco's Stratos Papandreou ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-10. When the final whistle sounded Grugliasco left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Costa Rica.
