Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. After a defensive mix-up in Mexico's zone, Andres Oper stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dante Lacasa came out of the goal and Andres Oper tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 21 minutes, Iwo Gdowski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sleepy Soldiers FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Iwo Gdowski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 24th minute of play forced Sleepy Soldiers FC's goalkeeper Joonatan De Vlaeminck to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sleepy Soldiers FC's Joonatan De Vlaeminck played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 29th minute of play. In the 29th minute, Joel Gaona ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Joonatan De Vlaeminck was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Mexico's Alberto Tafalla got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Mexico booed when Sleepy Soldiers FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Octavio Ordono didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joel Gaona to make the kick off. Joonatan De Vlaeminck made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 53rd minute. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andres Oper, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Alberto Tafalla struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Joonatan De Vlaeminck didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mexico. 59 minutes into the game, Andres Oper threw the ball into play from the sideline. Mexico's Joel Gaona quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Facundo Cadaval sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Joel Gaona managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Joel Gaona was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joonatan De Vlaeminck breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 69 minutes into the game, Facundo Cadaval was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mexico's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sleepy Soldiers FC the free kick. In the 69th minute, Facundo Cadaval hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 73 minutes into the match, Léo Zanette notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Mexico's Dante Lacasa. Dante Lacasa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Joonatan De Vlaeminck took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Tafalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 77 minutes Sleepy Soldiers FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joel Gaona who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Lautaro Mancebo got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Joonatan De Vlaeminck quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Joonatan De Vlaeminck made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Alberto Tafalla sent off a good shot on target. Ermegildo Patrido kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. In the 85th minute, Andres Oper left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sleepy Soldiers FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Sleepy Soldiers FC's Joonatan De Vlaeminck proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Sleepy Soldiers FC from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Sleepy Soldiers FC getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Manoel da Fonseca hit a great ball. Sleepy Soldiers FC's Manoel da Fonseca quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Leonardo Leoz, made in the 92nd minute of the game. Joel Gaona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joonatan De Vlaeminck having to interfere. A collision led to Sleepy Soldiers FC getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Ermegildo Patrido hit a great ball.
