Marcos Cotilla came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Gunnah FC's Arnaldo Rolado. But to his dismay, Arnaldo Rolado quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Abraham Alguacil could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Ove Anselius made a huge save. Ove Anselius came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Panama's Tomas Berganza. But to his dismay, Tomas Berganza quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Marcos Cotilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ted Boshuis in the 35th minute of the match. 36 minutes into the game, Panama's Abraham Alguacil nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ove Anselius made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 93rd minute Arif Memduh Teber suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Matthew Garrido during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Matthew Garrido hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Panama had won after a very even match.
