Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Tomas Illescas started the match with the kick off. 10 minutes into the game, Emilian Bădila was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Cosula-BTF-'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Venezuela the free kick. Venezuela made a substitution. Roberto Ocampo replaced Joshua Secada. Emilian Bădila kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 14th minute of play forced FC Cosula-BTF-'s goalkeeper Ovidiu Marin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ovidiu Marin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 23rd minute of play. 24 minutes into the match, Dacian Jurăscu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dacian Jurăscu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filip Hosu in the 31st minute of play. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Dacian Jurăscu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ovidiu Marin having to interfere. Ovidiu Marin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 40th minute of the match. The referee felt a red card was in order, 43 minutes into the game, when Sever Mărăscu put in a rough tackle. In a very dangerous position, a player in FC Cosula-BTF- fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 43rd minute. Penalty! Ovidiu Marin had in the 46thth minute some difficulties stopping Tomas Illescas's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dacian Jurăscu to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Venezuela's Camilo Gaos seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Camilo Gaos the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Venezuela protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Camilo Gaos had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 52nd minute, one of Venezuela:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Venezuela. Aurel Lăceanu walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. The supporters of Venezuela booed when FC Cosula-BTF- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ciprian Gaiță didn't get a good kick on the ball. With an all-out effort, Venezuela's Ovidiu Marin threw himself towards the right post 68 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Roberto Ocampo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Jose Correa kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. FC Cosula-BTF-'s Vintilă Bădescu was substituted for Ciprian Gaiță. After 71 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jose Correa. In the 71st match minute, FC Cosula-BTF- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dacian Jurăscu to maneuver through the defense. When Vintilă Bădescu fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Cosula-BTF-'s protests and gave Vintilă Bădescu a yellow card for diving instead. Vintilă Bădescu kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Ovidiu Marin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roberto Ocampo in the 76th minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dacian Jurăscu's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. After 79 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Alex Chicote. The supporters of FC Cosula-BTF- booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Chicote didn't get a good kick on the ball. 87 minutes into the match, Dacian Jurăscu notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 91 minutes into the game, Emilian Bădila threw the ball into play from the sideline. Venezuela's Alex Chicote quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. The FC Cosula-BTF- players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
