Gunnah FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luis Andino was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Daniel Zorita scored 0-3 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ove Anselius, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 21 minutes into the match, Gunnah FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Ove Anselius reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arif Memduh Teber in the 27th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daniel Zorita in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ove Anselius saved Gunnah FC from getting behind. Ove Anselius showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. Ove Anselius didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Daniel Zorita went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. Arif Memduh Teber sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Gunnah FC getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Arnaldo Rolado hit a great ball. Ove Anselius showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agustín Saelices, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. In the 65th minute Gunnah FC were awarded a corner. André Carlberg went to the cornerflag to take it. The nice shot from Daniel Zorita in the 70thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Ove Anselius had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. When André Carlberg fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gunnah FC's protests and gave André Carlberg a yellow card for diving instead. After 76 played minutes Gunnah FC got a freekick which was hit by André Carlberg. Ove Anselius made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Felix Montenegro sent off a good shot on target. Cristian Sancho hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. In the 84th minute Arnaldo Rolado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arif Memduh Teber in the 93rd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Ove Anselius in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Ecuador had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
