Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Daniel Zorita took the kick off in the first half of the match. Zhuang Fan Zhen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Julio Vera having to make a save. 5 minutes into the match, Claudio Caniggia dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Julio Vera, 1-0. In the 12th minute, Zhuang Fan Zhen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. David Prada tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Zhuang Fan Zhen kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. After 37 played minutes SANFINS VLP got a freekick which was hit by Eduardo Viana. David Prada showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. David Prada showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Andino in the 42nd minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Claudio Caniggia to make the kick off. David Prada came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Daniel Zorita. But to his dismay, Daniel Zorita quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. 56 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Claudio Caniggia came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 59 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of David Prada. SANFINS VLP's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristian Sancho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. David Prada made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. The crowd rose to their feet as Ecuador's Daniel Zorita slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of David Prada. That made the score 1-3 after 64 minutes of play. Claudio Caniggia might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Julio Vera. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Claudio Caniggia ran back to his position shaking his head. David Prada made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 71st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 73rd minute of play forced SANFINS VLP's goalkeeper David Prada to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 74th minute after SANFINS VLP's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. After 85 played minutes SANFINS VLP got a freekick which was hit by Basílio Silveira. After a defensive mix-up in SANFINS VLP's zone, Agustín Saelices stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. David Prada came out of the goal and Agustín Saelices tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to SANFINS VLP getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Claudio Caniggia hit a great ball. Ecuador played a much better game than SANFINS VLP and deserved their victory. The SANFINS VLP players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
