Thiago Pliego was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Luiz Gustavo do Valle showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 5 minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luiz Gustavo do Valle in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Thiago Pliego saved Chile from getting behind. Amerigo Muzi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Amerigo Muzi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 19th minute of the match. 24 minutes into the match, Luiz Gustavo do Valle notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Chile's Thiago Pliego. Thiago Pliego was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 28 minutes into the game, Jose Manzanedo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Chile's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Floripa Lions FSCMZ the free kick. Jose Manzanedo kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. With an all-out effort, Floripa Lions FSCMZ's Thiago Pliego threw himself towards the right post 29 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Luiz Gustavo do Valle, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. With a little luck, Chile's Thiago Pliego got control of the ball when Luiz Gustavo do Valle tried to sneak it across the goal line. Orlando Casaus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Luiz Gustavo do Valle made the kick off in the second half. Luiz Gustavo do Valle blasted a shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Thiago Pliego having to make a save. Floripa Lions FSCMZ's Amerigo Muzi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Floripa Lions FSCMZ from getting a goal against them. In the 59th minute Chile were awarded a corner. Mariano Lacasa went to the cornerflag to take it. Floripa Lions FSCMZ's Amerigo Muzi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 62nd minute of play. Floripa Lions FSCMZ's Amerigo Muzi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save Floripa Lions FSCMZ from getting a goal against them. After 69 minutes of play, Chile's Mariano Lacasa made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Amerigo Muzi was left in no man's land by his defense there! Floripa Lions FSCMZ's Hortêncio Montenegro was substituted for Luiz Gustavo do Valle. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mariano Lacasa got free with Amerigo Muzi in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 79 minutes into the match, Pedro Luís Alvarenga had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Thiago Pliego. Chile's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pedro Luís Alvarenga was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-2. Amerigo Muzi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 83rd minute of play. With a little luck, Floripa Lions FSCMZ's Amerigo Muzi got control of the ball when Mariano Lacasa tried to sneak it across the goal line. Amerigo Muzi was out of position in the 88 minute of play, and Mariano Lacasa capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Mariano Lacasa really showed his touch with that goal: 4-3. Thiago Pliego stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hortêncio Montenegro's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute. In the 93rd minute Floripa Lions FSCMZ were awarded a corner. Pedro Luís Alvarenga went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Floripa Lions FSCMZ's corner Pedro Luís Alvarenga fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Thiago Pliego quite easily take care of the ball.
