In the 16th minute of the match Mexico got a corner. └◘RivierA▬Þauli§tA◘┘'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Gaona ran over to the corner to take the kick. Arlindo Rossi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 20th minute of the match. Joel Gaona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Arlindo Rossi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dante Lacasa was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gong Zhan Chen showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 32 minute of play. Ronaldo Simão could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Dante Lacasa made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Joel Gaona in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arlindo Rossi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jimeno Henric, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Joel Gaona made the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, └◘RivierA▬Þauli§tA◘┘'s goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Arlindo Rossi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 52nd minute, Ronaldo Simão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lautaro Mancebo's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Arlindo Rossi firmly grabbed it by the left post. 56 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Gong Zhan Chen came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 62nd minute Gong Zhan Chen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronaldo Simão in the 70th minute of the match. In the 74th minute, Lenílson Leite left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The └◘RivierA▬Þauli§tA◘┘ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. 78 minutes into the match, └◘RivierA▬Þauli§tA◘┘'s goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Arlindo Rossi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gong Zhan Chen, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. After some careless play in the └◘RivierA▬Þauli§tA◘┘ defense, Lautaro Mancebo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arlindo Rossi. The └◘RivierA▬Þauli§tA◘┘ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arlindo Rossi should have stopped the shot. In the 89th minute, Alberto Tafalla reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Arlindo Rossi. The goal made the score 2-2. Arlindo Rossi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Facundo Cadaval in the 94th minute of play. Lautaro Mancebo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Arlindo Rossi made a huge save.
