Jules Kunde came out of the goal and Edmundo Espiga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Valentín Carvallo got a throw-in 12 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Edmundo Espiga. Nikola Jokić's late challenge caught a Honduras's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nikola Jokić helped the player get up and apologised. Jules Kunde showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 14th minute of the match. Edmundo Espiga who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 22ndth minute tested the skills of Jules Kunde when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Sebastian Villa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 29th play minute Edmundo Espiga came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Jules Kunde. 3-0. 33 minutes into the game, one of Barbudos FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had been going on for 34 minutes, Honduras's Edmundo Espiga got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Jules Kunde. A collision led to Honduras getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Christian Sancho hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Honduras's zone, Romulo Isusko stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lautaro Navarro came out of the goal and Romulo Isusko tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Edmundo Espiga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sebastian Villa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Romulo Isusko to make the kick off. Sebastian Villa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jules Kunde having to interfere. In the 62nd minute, Nikola Jokić hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Honduras fans' excitement grew in the 66th match minute when Honduras's Edmundo Espiga looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Nikola Jokić was shown his second yellow card after 69 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 69th match minute, Barbudos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nikola Jokić to maneuver through the defense. In the 73rd minute, Luca Espinar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jules Kunde showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. The Honduras fans' excitement grew in the 83rd match minute when Honduras's Edmundo Espiga looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 7-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 87 minutes had been played when some careless play by Barbudos FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Edmundo Espiga was slow to take the kick. During this time Honduras's players had a chance to rest. A well done corner resulted in Christian Sancho drilling the ball in to score 8-0 behind Barbudos FC's goalkeeper. The audience was convinced that Edmundo Espiga's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jules Kunde was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. 94 minutes into the game, Arnulfo Ortzi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Barbudos FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Honduras the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 94th minute of the game. One of Barbudos FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Honduras:s goal. Jules Kunde took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmundo Espiga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Honduras had played much better football throughout.
