Macos Graciani made in the 40th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Luca Zorita however managed to control. Kapalicarsi's attentive Yağızhan Ekin managed to snatch the ball when Macos Graciani made a throw-in in the 43rd minute of the game. Dante Lacasa was out of position in the 44 minute of play, and Manuel Porto capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Manuel Porto really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3.

With a little luck, Kapalicarsi's Adem Ökkeş got control of the ball when Alberto Tafalla tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Joel Gaona in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Adem Ökkeş prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 58th minute, Luca Zorita fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Adem Ökkeş, passed just outside the right post. Lautaro Mancebo was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 61st minute. Mexico's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 63rd minute, Joel Gaona got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Kapalicarsi booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luca Rouco didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lautaro Mancebo got free with Adem Ökkeş in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Yağızhan Ekin fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kapalicarsi's protests and gave Yağızhan Ekin a yellow card for diving instead. In the 71st minute, one of Kapalicarsi:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Kapalicarsi. Adem Ökkeş went to the wrong direction when Joel Gaona was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Adem Ökkeş showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Joel Gaona's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Adem Ökkeş read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. In the 78th minute Manuel Porto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 86 minutes, Joel Gaona managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joel Gaona was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 88th minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adem Ökkeş saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 93 minutes had been played when some careless play by Kapalicarsi's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joel Gaona was slow to take the kick. During this time Mexico's players had a chance to rest. It was a well-played corner which Facundo Cadaval managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. The Mexico supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Mexico would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
