An unexpectedly hard shot by Blas Basualdo in the 25th minute of play forced Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ruperto Refugio received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Lautaro Navarro came out and tried to block the shot, but Ruperto Refugio slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 27th minute. With a little luck, Honduras's Lautaro Navarro got control of the ball when Abelardo Brais tried to sneak it across the goal line. Moises Tafalla got a throw-in 31 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Christian Sancho. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ruperto Refugio during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Lanegan FC's Ruperto Refugio got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Honduras's Luca Espinar quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Alfonso Lamberto, made in the 36th minute of the game. The supporters of Honduras booed when Lanegan FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfonso Lamberto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ruperto Refugio hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ruperto Refugio was the one to do the kick off. Lanegan FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. 60 minutes in the game Alfonso Lamberto did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Blas Basualdo. In the 63rd minute Ruperto Refugio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lautaro Navarro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Honduras's Edmundo Espiga slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Melquiades Sendoa. That made the score 1-2 after 67 minutes of play. In the 71st minute, Ruperto Refugio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lautaro Navarro was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Lautaro Navarro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ruperto Refugio, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Honduras's Christian Sancho managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Alfonso Lamberto in the 88 minute of the game. In the 90thth minute of the game Ruperto Refugio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Honduras's Lautaro Navarro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 91 minutes into the game, Alfonso Lamberto threw the ball into play from the sideline. Honduras's Christian Sancho quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Lautaro Navarro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abelardo Brais, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Lanegan FC's Melquiades Sendoa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Lanegan FC from getting a goal against them. Honduras were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
