After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Emiliano Caiola stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Emiliano Caiola tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 10th match minute, Julias Rascals Apeldoorn was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Serge Frankena to maneuver through the defense. Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's Ralph Roeles proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Julias Rascals Apeldoorn from getting a goal against them. Juan Sebastián Puig hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Ralph Roeles in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 19th minute, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. In the 21st match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Agustín Saelices to maneuver through the defense. Daniel Zorita took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ralph Roeles. Ralph Roeles dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emiliano Caiola in the 27th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emiliano Caiola in the 28th minute of play. Julias Rascals Apeldoorn were awarded a corner in the 29th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Zebastian Bergfeldt took the corner. After 30 played minutes Julias Rascals Apeldoorn got a freekick which was hit by Karel Kimman. After a rather tough play, Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's Johan Saveneij got a free kick in the 33rd minute. After 34 played minutes, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ralph Roeles came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ecuador reached it. Agustín Saelices fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ralph Roeles having to interfere. After 41 minutes of play, Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's Emiliano Caiola made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Julio Vera was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 46th minute, Juan Sebastián Puig hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 47 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Jan de Vlieger came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Zebastian Bergfeldt made a kick off. After 56 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Luis Andino. When Agustín Saelices came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Agustín Saelices couldn't finish the play. In the 64th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Montes to maneuver through the defense. Ralph Roeles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 66th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agustín Saelices in the 68th minute of play forced Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's goalkeeper Ralph Roeles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. Ralph Roeles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 71st minute of play. In the 73rd minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 76 minutes into the match, Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Ralph Roeles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 79 minutes, Kurt van der Laan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kurt van der Laan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zebastian Bergfeldt in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 90 minutes into the game, Norbert Skrzypek was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. Norbert Skrzypek hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Cristian Sancho struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Ralph Roeles didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Ralph Roeles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Julias Rascals Apeldoorn succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Ecuador had controlled the match.
