Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Venezuela's Tomas Illescas started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. In the 11th match minute, Cridas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zacarias Elija to maneuver through the defense. Herminio Otsando made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 12th minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sánchez in the 13th minute. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Alex Chicote got a free kick in the 17th minute. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lucio Hori in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Jose Correa hit a great ball. With a little luck, Cridas FC's Herminio Otsando got control of the ball when Tomas Illescas tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucio Hori in the 63rd minute of play. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Tomas Illescas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Herminio Otsando made a huge save.
