The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 14 minutes into the match, Kingpins's goal looked a bit too open when Cassius Byrne came free, but Brendan Leblanc reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 24 minutes of play, USA's Cassius Byrne made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Brendan Leblanc was left in no man's land by his defense there! Cassius Byrne succeeded in the game's 31st minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-3. In the 35th minute Cassius Byrne shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brendan Leblanc saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

Kingpins's Henning Strömqvist was substituted for Karl Trulsson. The wind increased when Cassius Byrne made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, USA's Monty Rogers dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-4. Guo Ke Peng sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Guo Ke Peng had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Brendan Leblanc made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Monty Rogers in the 68th minute of play. If Bo Kruuse had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. USA made a substitution. Sam Campbell replaced Cassius Byrne. The supporters of USA booed when Kingpins was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nils-Emil Ahlstedt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Brendan Leblanc showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Monty Rogers in the 74th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sam Campbell got free with Brendan Leblanc in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Kingpins's Brendan Leblanc got control of the ball when Sam Campbell tried to sneak it across the goal line. Marco Day didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Guo Ke Peng went, in the 97th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-5 was the resulting score. USA played a much better game than Kingpins and deserved their victory. The Kingpins players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
