With his leg Jonathan Ferrant managed to avoid a goal in the 10thth minute, when JIANGSU FC's Dylan Schneider fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 17 minutes into the match, Dylan Schneider had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dylan Schneider was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. 郝誉雄 took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Raimundo do Nascimento ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Venezuela's goalie and right to 何笑震. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Venezuela's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 47th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rigoberto Mina to maneuver through the defense. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dylan Schneider's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dylan Schneider in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. 88 minutes into the match, JIANGSU FC's goal looked a bit too open when Patricio Costa came free, but 郝誉雄 reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dylan Schneider went, in the 91st minute, to the upper right corner, 8-0 was the resulting score.
