The North Pole Kickers fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Folke Bure should have stopped the shot. Mexico's Dante Lacasa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Mexico from getting a goal against them. After 17 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Lautaro Mancebo. Folke Bure showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luca Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 25th minute of play forced North Pole Kickers's goalkeeper Folke Bure to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dante Lacasa was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Michael Ahlbeck showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 26 minute of play. In the 71st minute, Mexico's Alberto Tafalla ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Folke Bure. Folke Bure yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-4. After a rather tough play, Mexico's Lorenzo Cazalla got a free kick in the 73rd minute. North Pole Kickers's Folke Bure played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 78th minute of play. Folke Bure didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Joel Gaona went, in the 78th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-5 was the resulting score. 87 minutes into the match, Lautaro Mancebo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Folke Bure, 3-6. Joel Gaona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Folke Bure having to interfere. In the 96th minute, Lautaro Mancebo made a precise shot to the right of Folke Bure. North Pole Kickers's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-7. The North Pole Kickers supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Mexico's performance. The match ended with a win for Mexico.
