Lester Serre stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cassius Byrne's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. 19 minutes into the match, Leonides Rosio dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Marco Day, 2-0. In the 22nd minute Zach Harrison shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lester Serre saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lester Serre showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jenson Smith in the 27th minute of the match. In the 28th minute of the match USA got a corner. San Lorenzo de Sarandi's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Cassius Byrne ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 29th match minute, San Lorenzo de Sarandi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Venancio Piorno to maneuver through the defense. Leonides Rosio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Marco Day made a huge save. Marco Day showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonides Rosio, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. 35 minutes into the game, San Lorenzo de Sarandi's Leonides Rosio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marco Day made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind USA's goalkeeper Marco Day, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Cassius Byrne's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lester Serre was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. After 45 minutes San Lorenzo de Sarandi's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Cassius Byrne who took care of the corner kick. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cassius Byrne to strike the kick off in the second half. Cassius Byrne who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 52ndth minute tested the skills of Lester Serre when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 54 minutes, Edward Mcdonald made it 3-1 with a short kick to the right side. San Lorenzo de Sarandi's Lester Serre tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Lester Serre made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Monty Rogers in the 58th minute of play. In the 62nd minute Cassius Byrne shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lester Serre saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. San Lorenzo de Sarandi's Ceferino Cuervo was substituted for Leonides Rosio. USA's Sam Campbell was substituted for Cassius Byrne. A collision led to San Lorenzo de Sarandi getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Anastasio Gorbea hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as USA's Sam Campbell slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Lester Serre. That made the score 3-2 after 71 minutes of play. When San Lorenzo de Sarandi's Ivan Errando in the 79th minute got a chance for a shot 79th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The San Lorenzo de Sarandi fans' excitement grew in the 90th match minute when San Lorenzo de Sarandi's Ivan Errando looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. USA's Khalid Parry was substituted for Monty Rogers. Marco Day showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ceferino Cuervo in the 94th minute of the match. San Lorenzo de Sarandi's Lester Serre played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Khalid Parry in the 96th minute of play. When the referee blew the final whistle, San Lorenzo de Sarandi could leave the field as winners, despite USA having more of the ball for most of the match.
