The Militros F.C. fans' excitement grew in the 28th match minute when Militros F.C.'s Paulão Freire looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 38th minute, one of Militros F.C.:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Militros F.C.. Gerd Pollmann went to the wrong direction when Jaime Cazalla was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. 钱默翔 hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Paulão Freire sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Wanderson Valencia stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 55 played minutes Militros F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Wanderson Valencia. 57 minutes into the match, Militros F.C.'s goalkeeper Gerd Pollmann had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Francisco Seco. In the 76th match minute, Militros F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Francisco Regis to maneuver through the defense. After 79 minutes, Wanderson Valencia made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Uruguay's Arturo Carvallo managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Francisco Regis in the 87 minute of the game. In the 91st minute, Kevin Carballal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Sandrinho Cunha managed to get in a good position for a shot. Militros F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Sandrinho Cunha was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joaquin Gayoso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Wanderson Valencia during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Uruguay's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
