The Kanalie fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kazimierz Dulemba should have stopped the shot. Luis Andino kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kazimierz Dulemba breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Disappointed in the 0-6 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Kazimierz Dulemba was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Daniel Zorita. 70 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Kazimierz Dulemba, 0-9. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Kazimierz Dulemba made a huge save. Wit Motowski's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Wit Motowski helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Kanalie was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position.
