After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Felix Montenegro fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Mugurel Puișoru quite easily take care of the ball. With an all-out effort, Cavalerii Viola's Julio Vera threw himself towards the right post 15 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Iván Győrfi, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Cavalerii Viola's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Iker Galo in the 17th minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cavalerii Viola.
