Antarctica IF's Flavio Balasi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 27th minute of play. 29 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Flavio Balasi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Flavio Balasi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 34th minute of play. Flavio Balasi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliseo Mina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 36th minute, Eliseo Mina made a precise shot to the right of Flavio Balasi. Antarctica IF's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After the first half Peru were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ando Koppelmaa was the one to do the kick off. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maximino Lander, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Antarctica IF were awarded a corner in the 56th minute after Peru's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Erubiel Claus took the corner. In the 60th minute, Julian Murillo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Peru fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Emanuel Lehior's late challenge caught a Peru's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Antarctica IF's Emanuel Lehior got a free kick in the 68th minute. When Julian Murillo came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Peru fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Julian Murillo couldn't finish the play. The corner ended in Joaquin Prats almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Antarctica IF's Flavio Balasi did a great save. Flavio Balasi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Peru. Peru were awarded a corner in the 94th minute after Antarctica IF's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Eliseo Mina took the corner. In the 95th minute, Peru's Rafael Gallo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Flavio Balasi. Flavio Balasi yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-5.
