Edmundo Espiga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mastur Bandov having to interfere. Honduras's Sebastian Villa managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Yetkin Hekim in the 30 minute of the game. After 32 minutes, Valentín Carvallo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Honduras and the Jacuitiba - FSCMZ players grew even worse after the yellow card. Valentín Carvallo kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Honduras's Lautaro Navarro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Basílio Silveira in the 33rd minute of play. After 45 played minutes Honduras got a freekick which was hit by Valentín Carvallo. Jacuitiba - FSCMZ's Basílio Silveira got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edmundo Espiga stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
