The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The crowd rose to their feet as BELİZE CK's Yu Xiang slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. That made the score 1-0 after 9 minutes of play. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 23 minutes into the match, BELİZE CK's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Songurbey Ulutaş reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. BELİZE CK's Sandrinho Torres got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sandrinho Torres, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. 35 minutes into the game, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Songurbey Ulutaş made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. The supporters of BELİZE CK booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Gaos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Songurbey Ulutaş didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tomas Illescas went, in the 41st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Tomas Illescas made the kick off in the second half. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 55th minute, Osman Nuri Önen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. In the 63rd minute, Dilmen Kutlubay hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of BELİZE CK booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guillermo Mariano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Songurbey Ulutaş showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patricio Costa, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Dilmen Kutlubay charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sandrinho Torres in the 81st minute of play. The supporters of Venezuela booed when BELİZE CK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Osman Nuri Önen didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 84th minute, Alex Chicote hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Yu Xiang had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. BELİZE CK were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
