Cesare Cardillo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Peru's Eliseo Mina managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Armando Santiago in the 56 minute of the game. Lechuguitas F.C.'s Cesare Cardillo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save Lechuguitas F.C. from getting a goal against them. Peru's attentive Eliseo Mina managed to snatch the ball when Armando Santiago made a throw-in in the 60th minute of the game. Cesare Cardillo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luz Tejedor in the 64th minute of play. In the 68th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cesare Cardillo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 74 minutes into the match, Lechuguitas F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Cesare Cardillo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 77 played minutes Lechuguitas F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Amancio Clodio. Lechuguitas F.C.'s Victorio Modestio was substituted for Hélio Nascimento. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Rafael Gallo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Peru's supporters rose to their feet, but Rafael Gallo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cesare Cardillo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victorio Modestio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the final whistle sounded Peru left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Lechuguitas F.C..
