Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Ingemar Larsson took the kick off in the first half of the match. Ricardo Zorita was a little too slow when Ingemar Larsson got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 3rd minute. The score was now 1-0. After 8 played minutes MaLe FC got a freekick which was hit by Bo-Erik Jonsson. After a defensive mix-up in MaLe FC's zone, Mateo Leguizamo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arne Blomqvist came out of the goal and Mateo Leguizamo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 14th minute, Moises Fernandino left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The El Salvador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. In the 23rd minute of the match Mateo Leguizamo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Arne Blomqvist showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The supporters of El Salvador booed when MaLe FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ingemar Larsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 35 minutes, Jan-Olof Duset managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MaLe FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jan-Olof Duset was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Abram Luque hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Ingemar Larsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Zorita having to interfere. Marco Tamayo's late challenge caught a MaLe FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marco Tamayo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 47th match minute, El Salvador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marco Tamayo to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice moves Ingemar Larsson could shoot a difficult shot in the 48th minute, which Ricardo Zorita however easily saved by the left post. After the first half El Salvador were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Moises Fernandino made a kick off. 54 minutes into the match, MaLe FC's goalkeeper Arne Blomqvist had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Moises Fernandino. Mateo Leguizamo was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 60th minute. El Salvador's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Ingemar Larsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. MaLe FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ingemar Larsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ricardo Zorita breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ricardo Zorita made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ingemar Larsson in the 66th minute of play. The supporters of MaLe FC booed when El Salvador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abram Luque didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 78th minute, El Salvador's Moises Fernandino ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Arne Blomqvist. The El Salvador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ricardo Zorita should have stopped the shot. The El Salvador supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing El Salvador would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
