The Lechuguitas F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cesare Cardillo should have stopped the shot. In the 17th match minute, USA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jenson Smith to maneuver through the defense. In the 20th minute Cassius Byrne shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cesare Cardillo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Monty Rogers in the 22nd minute of play forced Lechuguitas F.C.'s goalkeeper Cesare Cardillo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marco Day took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arnulfo Tercero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cesare Cardillo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cassius Byrne in the 28th minute of play. Lechuguitas F.C.'s Cesare Cardillo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cassius Byrne in the 29th minute of play. Cesare Cardillo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edward Mcdonald, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cassius Byrne in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cesare Cardillo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 40th minute of the match USA got a corner. Lechuguitas F.C.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Cassius Byrne ran over to the corner to take the kick. 42 minutes into the match, Lechuguitas F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Cassius Byrne came free, but Cesare Cardillo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 46 minutes into the match, Cassius Byrne notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Lechuguitas F.C.'s Cesare Cardillo. Cesare Cardillo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cassius Byrne made a kick off. Lechuguitas F.C.'s Cesare Cardillo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Lechuguitas F.C. from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Monty Rogers in the 66th minute of play forced Lechuguitas F.C.'s goalkeeper Cesare Cardillo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. USA's Sam Campbell was substituted for Cassius Byrne. Hélio Nascimento struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Marco Day didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lechuguitas F.C.. Lechuguitas F.C.'s 于阳朋 was substituted for Armando Santiago. Lechuguitas F.C. made a substitution. Jeremias Mikelar replaced Arnulfo Tercero. Cesare Cardillo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Monty Rogers in the 80th minute of the match. Marco Day made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hélio Nascimento in the 82nd minute of play. A collision led to USA getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Zach Harrison hit a great ball. USA's Marco Baker was substituted for Edward Mcdonald. After a rather tough play, USA's Zach Harrison got a free kick in the 84th minute. 86 minutes into the match, Lechuguitas F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Sam Campbell came free, but Cesare Cardillo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lechuguitas F.C.'s Cesare Cardillo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Lechuguitas F.C. from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in USA's zone, 于阳朋 stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marco Day came out of the goal and 于阳朋 tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the final whistle sounded USA left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Lechuguitas F.C..
