After having played for 16 minutes, Guillermo Fontirroig managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chile's supporters crossed their fingers, but Guillermo Fontirroig was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 18 minutes into the match, Chile's goal looked a bit too open when Yusuf Altunova came free, but Thiago Pliego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Guillermo Fontirroig's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Zäfär Güläliyev firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 37thth minute of the game Sabahattin Hanönü who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chile's Thiago Pliego was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Mariano Lacasa struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Zäfär Güläliyev didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chile. Los up up's Zäfär Güläliyev proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Los up up from getting a goal against them. 2-1 became the score in the 47th minute when Mariano Lacasa elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 52ndth minute of the game Mariano Lacasa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Los up up's Zäfär Güläliyev was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Mariano Lacasa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zäfär Güläliyev was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. Bren McPhil came free with the goalkeeper in the 54th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Thiago Pliego could save by the left post. In the 57th minute of the match, Yusuf Altunova got a very nice opportunity to score, but Thiago Pliego was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After some careless play in the Chile defense, Sabahattin Hanönü kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Thiago Pliego. The Chile fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Thiago Pliego should have stopped the shot. 61 minutes into the game, Mariano Lacasa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Zäfär Güläliyev was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Thiago Pliego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sabahattin Hanönü in the 72nd minute of the match. Bren McPhil received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Thiago Pliego came out and tried to block the shot, but Bren McPhil slotted it home off the left post making it 3-3 in the 73rd minute. If David Rodas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mariano Lacasa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zäfär Güläliyev read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. Mariano Lacasa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 91st minute Chile were awarded a corner. Mariano Lacasa went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 92nd minute, Pedro Indiano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Los up up defense, Mariano Lacasa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zäfär Güläliyev. The Los up up fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zäfär Güläliyev should have stopped the shot. Despite being the better team, Chile failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
