The referee ignored KS LEW Chorzów's protests and gave Pedro Luís Alcântara a yellow card for diving instead. After 42 played minutes KS LEW Chorzów got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Luís Alcântara. Marcos Cotilla made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Hélio Vaz sent off a good shot on target. Marcos Cotilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marian Beninda in the 46th minute of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomas Berganza to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Hélio Vaz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marcos Cotilla was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game.
