After a rather tough play, Mexico's Felix Luque got a free kick in the 8th minute. Cristo Gregory hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Lautaro Mancebo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Fabricio Lawrence tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lautaro Mancebo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cristo Gregory blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dante Lacasa having to make a save. Fabricio Lawrence made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 26th minute of play. Mexico were awarded a corner in the 27th minute after Los Irrompibles's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Joel Gaona took the corner. After taking down the ball on Mexico's corner Joel Gaona fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Fabricio Lawrence quite easily take care of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zakariás Lányi in the 29th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 32nd minute, Los Irrompibles's Rogelio Herrasti ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Dante Lacasa. Dante Lacasa yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Dante Lacasa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rogelio Herrasti in the 46th minute.

In the 52nd minute of the match, Lautaro Mancebo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Fabricio Lawrence was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Lautaro Mancebo was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. In the 57th minute, Joel Gaona fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Fabricio Lawrence, passed just outside the right post. In the 58th minute of the match, Joel Gaona tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Fabricio Lawrence saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 63rd minute, Cristo Gregory hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mexico were awarded a corner in the 71th minute after Los Irrompibles's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Joel Gaona took the corner. After 72 played minutes Los Irrompibles got a freekick which was hit by Santiago Calvet. In the 76th minute, Cleto Truylos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fabricio Lawrence made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 84th minute of play. In the 86th minute, Alberto Tafalla got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Los Irrompibles's Aimé Burke was substituted for Santiago Calvet. Los Irrompibles's Volker Gleicke was substituted for Rogelio Herrasti. Alberto Tafalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabricio Lawrence having to interfere. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Volker Gleicke in the 92nd minute of play. 94 minutes into the game, Mexico's Joel Gaona nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fabricio Lawrence made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Mexico played a much better game than Los Irrompibles and deserved their victory. The Los Irrompibles players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
